Broadcast Journalism
In my first year of journalism, I focused on writing and design. Now, in my second year, we are focusing on broadcast journalism, so I only have two projects so far, but I intend to create a video for each story I publish moving forward. I am a writer so this was all new to me, but I am glad to have finally done it because I know this is something I will have to do in my future.

This simple video summarizes interviews I conducted for my story about teachers getting the COVID-19 vaccine. It is my first news video, and I see that there is much I can improve on: better camera angles, B-roll, lighting, variety, length, and just getting a better visual representation of this story overall; however, I am proud of taking the first step.
In this more recent video, I worked on improving my camera angles by shooting straight on instead of upward and following the rule of thirds when I could. I would like to improve by utilizing the 5-shot sequence in a future video and doing a better job of the storytelling, especially by focusing on smoother transitions.
